Do you remember back in the late 90’s when the book “Memoirs of a Geisha” was the “Twilight” of its day? For a hot minute back in the late 90’s, Geisha’s were yesteryear’s vampires. So much so that Madonna made some really warped video for ‘Nothing Really Matters’ where she assumed the role of the novel’s villain, Hatsumomo. Also of note - I BOUGHT A SHORT-SLEEVED MAN-BLOUSE AT LE CHATEAU THAT HAD A TRADITIONAL JAPANESE PRINT OF GEISHA’S ON IT WITH FAUX-BAMBOO BUTTONS.
I’ll try and find it when next I visit my parents.
